David Roper - Secretary/Treasurer

Lars Bierly - Vice President
District 2
Lars Bierly grew up in Blue Earth and after graduating from Macalester College in 2000 returned to work in the insurance industry. He has worked as an insurance agent for Minn-Iowa Agency since moving back and purchased the agency in 2015. Lars achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2006 and the Certified Risk Manager designation in 2015. Lars has been involved in many community organizations in addition to the Faribault County EDA. He currently serves on the Blue Earth HRA, Blue Earth Board of Public Works and the United Hospital District Foundation board. He is involved in the Blue Earth Lions Club and Blue Earth Eagles Aerie 4486. Lars believes that we live in an exceptional area that we must all work to support and help to grow.

John Herman - President
District 3
John Herman has been involved in the family business, Herman Manufacturing in Wells for 40 years. He is the President of the Faribault County EDA, and sits on the Wells City Council and Wells EDA Board. He and his wife Cindy have nine children and their family continues to grow with grandchildren and great grandchildren. John enjoys spending time with his big family and his two Yorkshire Terriers!

Vickie Savick
District 5
Vickie Savick grew up in Kiester, Minnesota where her parents owned and operated the Home Cafe. Several years later, she bought the family cafe and operated it until she started college. After college, Vickie worked for Fountain Centers in Albert Lea, Fairmont, and Rochester as a licensed counselor. In 2002, she accepted a position with Faribault & Martin County Human Services as a chemical dependency assessor. In 2003, she became a supervisor and in 2005, was made the Social Service Manager. Vickie enjoyed all the years she worked for the county and all the wonderful people she worked with and had the opportunity to meet. She retired in March of 2018 and is excited to start a new adventure with the Economic Development Authority of Faribault County.

William Groskreutz Jr. – Commissioner

William (Bill) Groskreutz Jr. is a lifetime resident of the Wells community. He was elected County Commissioner in 2004 and has served since that time. As commissioner, Bill also serves on the Faribault Martin County Human Service board, the Praireland board and the Prairie Lakes Transit board. He is the delegate from the joint human service board to the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee and from that board he is the delegate to the Environmental Health Continuous Improvement Board. Bill currently serves as the board chair of MRCI in Mankato and Vice Chair of MVAC also of Mankato. He also serves on the Faribault County Housing Authority. In Wells, Bill is the Board Chair of the Wells Community Ambulance Service, a Board Member of the Wells Housing Authority, and a Charter Member of the Wells Lions Club. Bill volunteers with the Wells Historical society and is an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
